Déborah Salazar is a French-Mexican lyric soprano.
She is a Young Talent at the Jaroussky Academy as part of the Nadia and Lili Boulanger 2024/25 promotion.
She has won three special prizes at the MET Council Auditions. She received the 3rd Prize at the Bellan Competition, the Génération Opéra Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Competition, and the First Grand Prize at the V. Bellini International Competition. She was invited to the second rounds of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Geneva Competition, and Neue Stimmen.

Déborah performed the roles of Violetta at the Opéra de Bordeaux, Gretel at the Opéra d’Avignon, Clarice in Il Mondo della Luna at the Opéra de Metz, Alcina with the Opéra Nomade company, “His Wife” in Le Pauvre Matelot, and the title role in Chimène ou le Cid by Sacchini with the ARCAL company.

She already performed in concert at the Opéra de Vichy, Opéra de Massy, Opéra de Lille, and in Antwerp and Ghent, as well as in festivals such as the Armel Festival in Budapest and La Folle Journée in Nantes. She sung with the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

She worked under the direction of P. Cao, J. Suhubiette, D. T. Heusel, B. Venezi, A. Perruchon, J. Noth, M. Minkowski, A. Fogliani, and M. Dendievel, and has collaborated with stage directors such as P.-E. Fourny, C. Jatahy, G. Joosten, D. Alden, and A. Delbée.

She benefited the guidance of V. Cortez, M. Guidarini, M. Devia, D. Polaski, D. Henschel, L. Tézier, O. Peretyatko, A. Palloc, I. E. Oyon, M. Clément, P. Jaroussky, and the Dratwicki brothers.

Déborah began her musical journey in the children choir at the Opéra de Dijon, performing in Carmen, Tosca, and La Bohème.
She obtained her Artist Diploma from the École Normale de Musique de Paris under the mentoship of D. Ottevaere in 2017 and her Postgraduate Diploma from the International Opera Academy in Ghent in 2019.
